Here is a document that I received from the Da-Lite corporation on the proper method of taking care of your projection screen...
CARE OF PROJECTION SCREEN SURFACESIn general: Keep the screen surface rolled up in its protective case when not in use. This protects not only against accidental damage but against dirt, dust, smoke, etc. Before re-rolling, examine the surface front and back to make sure it is free of any foreign matter that might stain or mar the picture surface.
- Glass Beaded Surfaces: Dust or very lightly soiled areas can usually be removed by brushing very lightly with a very soft brush. DO NOT SCRUB. THE IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER IS THAT NO BEADS BE REMOVED OR MORE HARM THAN GOOD WILL RESULT. If this method does not work and the soil interferes with the picture, replacement of the screen surface is the only solution.
- Matte White, High Contrast Matte White, Video Spectra 1.5, High Power, and Silver Matte: A very light stroke with art gum or a very soft brush should be tried first. If necessary, the surface may be washed with a very mild soap and water and a very soft cloth or sponge. Use very little water. Do not allow it to run into the case or get to the roller or to soak the fabric. It is difficult to avoid streaking so care should be exercised. Do not use solvents. If this fails, replace the fabric.
Replacement fabrics are available through the dealer from whom you purchased the screen.
